Lyrics: Rodney Adkins – If You’re Going Through Hell
“Well you know those times when you feel like there’s a sign there on your back that says I don’t mind if you kick me, seems like everybody has. Things go from bad to worse. You think it can’t get worse than that and then they do.”
A Full Moon always brings a change in perspective. Adjustment. Think back to mid-March. Chances are good that you were watching someone receive a dose of karma, perhaps even you yourself. You saw the “red flag” of a lie (doesn’t mean you recognized it) and some witnessed clear blue truth (doesn’t mean you recognized it). Connect the dots March – present. Mid-April brought a mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually exhaustive eclipse and a bear to cross. And here we are. Now. One month later. All “that stuff” is done and over. Change. What’s left? Let the deconstruction begin….
May 14th brings forth another change in point of view during the Full Moon @ 23 Scorpio. It’s different this time. Dive deep. Back to the beginning. Primal instincts. The question this Full Moon poses to each of us is “what new path is calling out to me and how do my instincts empower me?” Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio and Mars is the traditional ruler. Both appear to be going backward. It’s called retrograde. Mars has been retrograde since March 1st. What’s been stalled out in your life? It stations direct on May 19th and “all systems are a GO.” The train pulls out of the station. Pluto stationed retrograde @ 13 Capricorn on April 14th and is asking “what indoctrination did you receive as a child that no longer serves your growth?”
Instinct (Scorpio) is our first guide in life. Listen to what your “gut” is telling you. Public opinion is not necessarily the best indicator as to how to proceed in the situation we face in life right now. TRUST YOURSELF. Mars and Pluto are the bad-asses of the zodiac. Taking action (Mars) based on fear (Pluto). Expect to witness anger as Venus sashays across the oh-so-sensitive 13-degree Cardinal Mark in Aries during the Full Moon. This is like a pop quiz in school. It activates everyone’s life to see if what we are doing is in harmony with what our instincts are telling us. If not, expect an opportunity for change and adjustment to appear. If you witness anger, remember that people are very attached to their anger. Anger is ALWAYS the result of what is NOT KNOWN.
Scorpio rules the 8th House (death, taxes, sex, what we share, transformation and regeneration) and is literally “the process of elimination.” It rules the body’s bowels and sex organs. We discover the truth by eliminating what is false. Truth is presented to us through contrast. People may not know what they want, but they can sure tell you quick, fast and in a hurry what they don’t want, like or need. Thus we discover happiness! Once this is recognized we make valuable decisions. Why? Because we can easily see the source of our sorrow AND happiness. It is a paradox though. What makes us happy is not always desirable. By finding personal preferences though it’s easier to move toward wholeness.
“You step off the straight and narrow and you don’t know where you are. Used the needle of your compass, to sew up your broken heart. Ask directions from a genie in a bottle of jim beam and she lies to you. That’s when you learn the truth.”
In order to find the truth, we have to go backward. 305 AD. The soon-to-be Roman Emperor Constantine was heading into battle against his brother-in-law, Maxentius. He was convinced that he needed divine assistance. He was in a tricky position trying to decide how to bring together his “empire.” He prayed and asked for a sign. While praying he looked up to the sky and saw a “cross of light in the sky.” It was mid-afternoon. Today we know from geological research that there’s a good chance what he witnessed was a meteor exploding in the atmosphere. It’s called an “air-burst.” He took the “sign” of the “cross in the sky” as a divine sign. The Cross became the symbol of preference by Constantine. He was victorious in battle and converted to Christianity. He became Emperor in 306AD. Christianity got the foot-hold it needed when Constantine converted and the Roman Empire was a Christian State.
Constantine really didn’t care about religion. What he cared about was consolidating and coalescing his power, Empire. The Council of Nicea in 325 AD was the first worldwide gathering of the Church. During this meeting the relationship between God and Jesus was decided. The Christianity we know today is a result of what those men agreed upon over that month-long-meeting, including the timing of the religion’s most important holiday, Easter, which celebrates Jesus rising from the dead. God’s law interpreted by men with an agenda. Keeping the power of the church alive and in place has always been the goal. Since childhood the majority have been influenced by some religion doctrine. I wonder if Constantine could have seen the far-reaching results that his choice would have on modern mankind today? He changed our destiny.
It’s time to begin “deconstruction” of our own personal Crucifixion Myth through the process of elimination of outdated beliefs and there are plenty of them swirling around. It’s an indoctrination program taught to us as children that kept us in line through the fear of the wrath of God, shame and blame. A human can know something logically, but getting to change a behavior based on what the “child” within believed takes patience and practice. This will not happen overnight, far from it. It will take years to deconstruct, uninstall and reprogram these beliefs. Rewiring the “Mind.” The next 6 months are crucial to begin the deconstruction and restructuring of the human myth we’ve created for ourselves to keep us all in line, compliments of church AND state.
“I’ve been deep down in that darkness. I’ve been down to my last match. Felt a hundred different demons breathin’ fire down my back and I knew that if I stumbled I’d fall right into the trap that they were layin’.”
The easiest way is to start asking “what if” questions. What if I did _________? What would happen if I _________? How could I ______ if I were going to _______? When would such and such happen if I ____________? Here’s one; what would happen if I start telling the truth about “myself” every day.
If I were to ask you “how are you doing today?” Your canned response would be something like “I’m fine” or “I am good,” or “I am okay.” What if, instead of playing this game we all told the truth, “I am ME!” Try it the next time someone asks “how are you?” Be sure to look them in the eye. You will see the truth “in a flash” of their perception of you. Even better it’s very easy easy to see how harshly they judge themselves. Remember, people judge others based on how harshly they judge themselves. See? This perfunctory masquerade is so socially ingrained in us that when you say “I am ME” people will pause before responding. Uh-oh, someone isn’t playing the game right. Oh my! By saying “I am fine” I am sacrificing “my truth and your perception of me.” Children are rarely concerned with answers (remember, we are all growing up this year). The “what if” questions activate your “core energy.” The answers will reveal themselves in time. Be patient and listen carefully. The word “mourn” means “remember.”
This Full Moon is going to “call forth” something from within. There is a yearning for freedom. Adults avoid risks, but once in a while we have to take a chance on something different or walking down the road less traveled. We are all initiating our personal destiny during this Full Moon. What creative plan are you beginning? Passion is the engine of the Soul. Where do you need to invest your stamina? Stamina keeps the Soul pursuing the path of destiny with a “good will.” Find your rhythm. Hard work, patience and tenacity brings destiny to fruition and leads to growth. Pace yourself!
“But the good news is there’s Angels everywhere out on the street, holdin’ out a hand to pull you back up on your feet, the one’s that you’ve been draggin’ for so long. You’re on your knees might as well be prayin’, guess what I’m sayin.”
Creative passion is the Soul’s way of kindling enthusiasm and energy needed for the deconstruction period ahead. The gift of creativity brings out the best of our abilities. The energy of every living creature comes from the vital spark of the Soul. It’s the God-Spark within. We are learning how to dance with time and space (New Moon @ 7 Gemini on May 28th). This is brand new territory and we’ve never been here before. What if……
What if we were to discover that heaven is really just a “place inside my Soul?” What if we were to discover that Jesus needed sexual energy from Mary Magdalene to physically survive the physical “death ritual” of Crucifixion? Death is ascension. We don’t have to do that anymore. What if we were to discover that our sexuality was equally as important to “saving my Soul?” Sexual salvation. Without taboo. Untangled. What if we were to discover that the truth is hidden within the mysteries of the Great Mother, and because the Church sought to keep women disenfranchised it keeps the truth hidden away from the masses?
What if we were to discover that the Crucifixion of Jesus was so he could lead the way by leaving a trail of light for humans to follow in the ascension process, so they would not fear death? At the core of human essence is the fear of “death.” It’s called Spiritual Alchemy. What if, all we were supposed to do was to live by Jesus’ example WITHOUT having to play out the Crucifixion every day of our life? No shame, no blame, no guilt. Lay your Cross down and let the deconstruction begin……
“If you’re goin’ through hell keep on going. Don’t slow down, if you’re scared don’t show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you’re there. When you’re goin’ through hell, keep on movin’. Face that fire, walk right through it. You might get out before the devil even knows you’re there.”
